Broche Ballet Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 30, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
1.1 About This Policy. This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes how Broche Ballet, LLC (“Broche Ballet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and otherwise processes Personal Information in connection with the Services. It also describes the rights and choices available to you. Protecting your Personal Information is a priority for us.
1.2 Services Covered. This Policy applies to the following (collectively, the “Services”):
our websites, including www.brocheballet.com, brocheballetonline.com, stickybunsballet.com, journeytopointe.com, iabf.dance, and internationaladultballetfestival.com;
the Broche Ballet on-demand web application at app.brocheballetonline.com, the Broche Ballet iOS application, and the International Adult Ballet Festival dashboard at dashboard.iabf.dance;

1.3 Definitions. In this Policy:
“Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with an identified or identifiable individual;
“you” and “your” refer to any individual who accesses or uses the Services; and
“Service Providers” means third parties that process Personal Information on our behalf in order to provide services to Broche Ballet.
1.4 Acceptance. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and agree to the data practices described herein.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us. We may collect the following categories of Personal Information that you provide directly to us:
Account Information. Your name, email address, and sign-in credentials. You may sign in using an email address and password, or through your Google or Facebook account. Passwords are handled by our authentication Service Provider; we do not view or store your password in plain text. If you elect to sign in through Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
Dancer Profile and Preferences. Your voluntary and optional responses to our “Broche For You” questionnaire and similar questions, including but not limited to your years of adult ballet experience, level, goals, and topics of interest, as well as any profile photograph you choose to add.
Class Finder Inputs. Any goal or description you enter into our class finder in order to receive class recommendations (see Section 3.2).
Program and Coaching Information. Information you submit when you apply to a pointe program or cohort, book a pointe consultation, or request a custom practice program. This includes but is not limited to:
application and questionnaire responses;
dance and pointe history, goals, and selected track;
photographs and videos submitted for assessment; and
the assessment notes, consultation notes, practice plans, certificates, and pointe-shoe fitter letters that we prepare for you.
Health and Physical Information. Solely in connection with pointe applications and consultations, and for the purpose of evaluating whether pointe work is appropriate and safe for you, we may collect your confirmation that you are 18 years of age or older, your age, and responses to health-related questions. These questions include but are not limited to injury clearance, pregnancy, bone density, toe numbness, bone fusions, prior injuries and their treatment, foot conditions, foot articulation, running activity, occupational posture, and customary footwear. We may also collect your city and local studio in order to refer you to pointe classes and shoe fitters in your area.
Provision of this information is voluntary. We use it solely to assess your application and to provide coaching. It is accessible only to Broche Ballet staff who review applications, and it is never used or disclosed for marketing purposes. Where your responses indicate a potential safety concern, we may recommend that you consult a medical professional. Broche Ballet is not a medical provider, and nothing in the Services constitutes medical advice.
Videos and Photographs Submitted for Feedback. Practice, pointe program videos, or pointe shoe fit videos and photographs that you submit for feedback, together with any name or note you include. These materials are shared only with Broche Ballet staff for evaluation purposes.
Purchase Information. When you purchase a membership, course, or class, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and the details of your purchase. Your full payment card number is collected and stored by our third-party payment processor, or by Apple for in-app purchases made through the iOS application, and not by Broche Ballet. We receive only limited payment details, such as card brand, the last four digits of the card number, and the expiration date. If you order a printed product, such as our magazine, we also collect your shipping address.
Communications and Feedback. The content of emails you send to hello@brocheballet.com, contact-form submissions, survey responses, testimonials you authorize us to use, and feedback you submit through the Services, including through the feedback function of the AI Assistant Integration (see Section 12).
2.2 Information Generated Through Your Use of the Services. We may collect or generate the following information as you use the Services:
Activity Information. Classes you view (watch history), classes and programs you designate as favorites, your My Week plans (classes and programs assigned to days of the week, and named plans you create), program progress, live-class RSVPs, and your Daily Drill responses.
Membership Information. Your plan, trial status, renewal dates, and related entitlement details that determine which content you may access.
Live Class Information. Live classes are conducted through a third-party video conferencing provider. When you join a live class, that provider receives the name and email address you use to join and, if you enable them, your video and audio. We receive the provider’s participant report (names and email addresses used to join, and times of attendance) in order to record class attendance. Certain live classes, such as pointe cohort classes, may be recorded, and the recording may be made available afterward to the members of that class. Participant video is hidden from view in posted recordings.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically. When you access the Services, we and our Service Providers may automatically collect information about your device and browser. This includes but is not limited to your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages and screens viewed, referring website, and access times. We collect this information through cookies, similar technologies, and analytics providers. On our web application, our analytics providers may record sessions (that is, how you navigate through our pages) and report application errors so that we can identify and resolve problems.
2.4 Information from Third Parties. We may receive Personal Information from third parties, including:
payment providers, which notify us whether a payment or subscription has succeeded, renewed, or been cancelled; and
sign-in providers (Google or Facebook), which provide your name and email address if you elect to sign in through them.
3. How We Use Information
3.1 Purposes of Use. We may use Personal Information for the following purposes:
to provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including creating and managing your account, streaming classes, conducting live classes, courses, pointe programs and consultations, building your My Week plan and custom programs, and displaying your progress;
to process payments and to manage memberships, trials, and renewals;
to communicate with you, including sending account and purchase notices, class reminders, and responses to your inquiries;
to send marketing communications, such as newsletters and information regarding classes, programs, and events offered by Broche Ballet and the International Adult Ballet Festival, from which you may opt out at any time;
to request your feedback through surveys regarding current or prospective services;
to personalize your experience, including recommending classes based on your level, goals, and viewing history;
to analyze, maintain, and improve the Services, including understanding which classes and features are used, correcting errors, and developing new classes;
to protect the security and integrity of the Services, including preventing fraud and abuse and protecting our members and our business; and
to comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
3.2 AI-Enabled Features. We use third-party AI service providers in connection with certain features of the Services.
When you enter a goal into our class finder (for example, “I want to get ready for pointe”), that text is processed by a third-party AI service provider in order to generate class and program suggestions. We retain the goal text and the resulting suggestions, without your name or email address, in order to review and improve the quality of suggestions.
Third-party AI service providers also assist us in sorting support emails.
We use third-party AI services to transcribe and describe our own class videos, which does not involve your Personal Information.
We use these providers under paid terms that prohibit them from using your information to train their models.
4. Disclosure of Information
4.1 No Sale of Personal Information. Broche Ballet does not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information or customer lists to third parties.
4.2 Service Providers. We may disclose Personal Information to Service Providers that perform services on our behalf, only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. Such Service Providers are permitted to use Personal Information only to provide services to Broche Ballet and are required to keep it confidential and secure. The categories of Service Providers to which we may disclose Personal Information include:
Payment processors, including Stripe and Apple, which process payments and subscriptions;
Authentication providers, including Google and Facebook where you elect to sign in through them;
Third-party AI service providers, which process class finder inputs and support emails as described in Section 3.2, under terms that prohibit training on our data;
Analytics providers, which help us understand how the Services are used and which may record sessions and report errors;
Cloud hosting and storage providers, which host our applications, databases, and files;
Video hosting and video conferencing providers, which stream our classes and conduct our live classes, including attendance reporting;
Email and communications providers, which deliver account emails and newsletters to which you have subscribed;
Community, coaching, and workflow tools, which host private cohort communities, video feedback, and workflow automation;
Search providers, which index our class catalog and do not receive member data; and
Professional advisors, including our accountants and legal counsel, as necessary.
4.3 Advertising. Our website brocheballetonline.com uses the Google Ads tag, which enables Google to measure the performance of our advertisements and may use your visits to display Broche Ballet advertisements to you on other websites. See Section 11.
4.4 AI Assistants You Connect. If you connect the Services to an AI assistant through the AI Assistant Integration, the information returned by our tools in response to your requests is provided to that AI assistant. See Section 12.
4.5 Legal Requirements. We may disclose your Personal Information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:
comply with applicable law or legal process served on Broche Ballet;
protect and defend the rights or property of Broche Ballet; or
act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public.
4.6 Business Transfers. In the event that Broche Ballet is sold or merged, your Personal Information may be transferred to the successor entity, which shall be required to continue to honor this Policy.
4.7 With Your Consent. We will share testimonials, photographs, or videos publicly only with your permission.
5. Data Retention
5.1 Retention Period. We retain your Personal Information for as long as your account remains active. Thereafter, we may retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for our business, legal, tax, and accounting purposes, or until you request its deletion.
5.2 Deletion Requests. Upon your request, we will delete your Personal Information, except for records that we are required by law to retain, such as payment and tax records.
5.3 No Scheduled Deletion. Personal Information is not deleted automatically according to a predetermined schedule.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Account Deletion.
iOS application: You may delete your account by navigating to Account > Delete My Account. Doing so immediately deletes your login, profile and preferences, profile photograph, favorites, watch history, pointe self-assessment, challenge progress, and application activity.
Web account: You may request deletion by emailing hello@brocheballet.com, and we will delete your account on your behalf.
Subscriptions: Deleting your account cancels any active Broche Ballet subscription billed through Stripe. If you subscribed through Apple, you must also cancel that subscription in your Apple ID settings, as Apple manages that subscription.
6.2 Access and Correction. You may request access to, or correction of, the Personal Information we hold about you by emailing hello@brocheballet.com, and you may also update certain information directly in your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, which we will honor as required.
6.3 Disconnecting AI Assistants. You may disconnect Broche Ballet from ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Muse, or any other AI assistant at any time through that assistant’s settings. Disconnecting prevents the AI Assistant Integration from reading or modifying your account. Disconnecting does not delete your Broche Ballet account.
6.4 Email Communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in any such email, or by selecting your preferences on the notification preferences page in your account. We will continue to send you transactional communications regarding your account and purchases.
6.5 Cookies. You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies, as described in Section 11. If you do so, certain features of the Services may not function fully.
6.6 Submitting Requests. To submit any request under this Policy, please email hello@brocheballet.com or use our contact page at www.brocheballet.com/contact. We will respond within five (5) business days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children’s Privacy
7.1 The Services are intended for adult dancers. Broche Ballet does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13), and the Services, including the AI Assistant Integration, are not directed to children under thirteen (13).
7.2 If you are under the age of eighteen (18), you must obtain the permission of your parent or legal guardian before using the Services. Pointe programs and consultations are available only to individuals aged eighteen (18) or older, and the pointe application does not permit an applicant who indicates that they are under eighteen (18) to proceed.
7.3 If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under the age of thirteen (13), we will delete it. If you believe that a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us at hello@brocheballet.com.
8. Security
8.1 Broche Ballet takes measures to secure your Personal Information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include:
encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for information transmitted to and from the Services;
reliance on our payment processors, so that payment card numbers are never stored on our servers;
restricting access to member data to personnel who require it to operate Broche Ballet; and
storing AI Assistant Integration access tokens only in hashed form, with automatic expiration.
8.2 No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
9. International Transfers
9.1 Broche Ballet is based in the United States, and our Service Providers primarily store and process information in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your Personal Information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
10.1 The Broche Ballet applications do not include public message boards or comment features. Certain programs may invite you to participate in a private online community, and Broche Ballet maintains social media pages. If you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable or sensitive information in a community or on social media, that information may be collected and used by others.
10.2 The Services may contain links to third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any third-party website you visit. Broche Ballet is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of websites outside the Services.
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
11.1 Cookies. The Services may use “cookies,” which are small text files placed on your device by a web server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your device, and may be read only by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie.
11.2 Purposes. We use cookies to provide convenience features, such as recalling your preferences and registration details on subsequent visits. We also use cookies, together with similar technologies, for the analytics purposes described in Section 2.3.
11.3 Your Choices. Most web browsers accept cookies automatically, but you may modify your browser settings to decline them. If you decline cookies, you may be unable to use all interactive features of the Services.
11.4 Interest-Based Advertising. Our website brocheballetonline.com uses the Google Ads tag, which Google may use to display Broche Ballet advertisements to you on other websites based on your visits. You may opt out as follows:
disable personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com);
opt out of targeted advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out pages; and
if you are located in Europe, opt out through the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) opt-out page.
12. AI Assistant Integrations
12.1 Overview. Broche Ballet offers a connector (also referred to as a “plugin” or “app”) that enables ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Muse, and other AI assistants to access the Services. The AI Assistant Integration operates on our server at https://api.brocheballetonline.com/mcp. This Section describes the information the AI Assistant Integration receives and returns.
12.2 Use Without an Account. You may use the AI Assistant Integration without signing in. In that case, it searches and returns only our public class and program catalog, and we do not receive your name, email address, or any account information.
12.3 Account Connection. If you elect to connect your Broche Ballet account, you will sign in on a Broche Ballet page and authorize access. The AI assistant then receives an access token from us; it never receives your Broche Ballet password. The connection permits the AI Assistant Integration to read and update only your own Broche Ballet data. Member tools rely on the account identity associated with the access token and do not accept another person’s email address or identifier.
12.4 Information We Receive. We receive only the specific tool inputs described in Section 12.6, which the AI assistant populates based on your request. We do not receive your chat history, conversation transcripts, or any other content of your conversation.
12.5 Information We Do Not Handle. The AI Assistant Integration does not process payments, display prices or plans, modify your membership, or handle billing. It never requests payment card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or health records. We do not use information received through the AI Assistant Integration to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
12.6 Tool Inputs and Outputs. The AI Assistant Integration provides the following categories of tools:
Public Catalog Tools (no sign-in required).
Inputs: search terms and filters only, such as content type (class or program), category, level, topics, duration, date range, pagination, or class or program identifiers. These tools do not receive Personal Information.
Outputs: public catalog information, including class and program listings and descriptions, whether classes are included with a free account, upcoming live events from our public schedule, and visual cards displaying public titles, images, and links. These visual cards never display member data.
Member Information in Catalog Results. If you have connected your account and hold an active membership, certain catalog results also include your own status for each item:
whether it is a favorite;
the My Week days to which it is assigned;
whether you have viewed a class; and
for programs, the class list and the number of classes you have viewed.
Member Read Tools (sign-in and active membership required).
Inputs: no input other than your authenticated identity and, where applicable, a plan or program identifier.
Outputs: your own information, namely:
today’s suggested class (title, length, image, link, and the reason it was selected) and your Daily Drill questions;
your current and named My Week plans (including name, description, tags, visibility, and classes by day);
custom practice programs created for you by Broche Ballet staff (program name and weekly practice plan); and
your pointe applications (cohort name, status, and selected track only), pointe consultations (status, date, and practice plan only), and pointe program units and class lists.
These tools never return your health information, photographs, videos, or our assessment notes.
Member Write Tools (sign-in and active membership required). These tools modify your own account only:
My Week tools receive an item type (class or program), its identifier, and a day of the week. They add or remove that item on that day of your My Week plan, and return a confirmation with the item’s identifier, title, and day.
Favorites tools receive a class or program identifier. They add or remove that item from your favorites, and return a confirmation with the item’s identifier and title.
The Feedback tool receives a feedback category and the feedback text you elect to submit (up to 4,000 characters). It saves a feedback note for Broche Ballet staff, together with your account identifier and email address, so that we may follow up, and returns a confirmation identifier and timestamp.
12.7 Information We Retain.
Changes made through the AI Assistant Integration (My Week plans and favorites) are saved to your Broche Ballet account in the same manner as changes made in our web or iOS application.
Feedback notes are retained in accordance with Section 5.
When you connect your account, we retain a record of the connection (your account identifier, the AI assistant connected, and the time of connection) and a hashed copy of the associated access tokens, never the tokens themselves. Access tokens expire after one (1) hour, and refresh tokens expire after thirty (30) days unless renewed through continued use. Sign-in requests and authorization codes expire within fifteen (15) minutes.
The AI Assistant Integration does not maintain its own log of your requests or of tool outputs. Our hosting provider maintains standard request logs (such as time, network address, and status) for security and troubleshooting purposes, in accordance with its default log retention settings.
To prevent abuse, we limit the number of changes each member may make within a short period. The counts used for this purpose are held in memory only and are not stored.
12.8 Third-Party AI Providers. Your conversations with an AI assistant are governed by the privacy policy of the provider of that assistant (for example, OpenAI in the case of ChatGPT). The content you enter into the AI assistant, and the results our tools return into the conversation, are also subject to that provider’s privacy policy.
12.9 Disconnection. You may disconnect the AI Assistant Integration at any time as described in Section 6.3.
13. Changes to This Policy
13.1 Broche Ballet may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our Service Providers, applicable law, or company and customer feedback. When we do so, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this Policy.
13.2 If we make a material change, such as using your Personal Information for a new purpose or disclosing it to a new category of recipient, we will notify you by email or by notice within the Services before the change takes effect. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
14. Contact Us
